Healthy adults with excess upper or lower eyelid skin, fat bulges, or visual field impairment due
to drooping lids. Candidates should be nonsmokers with realistic expectations.
Loss of skin elasticity, gravity, orbital fat herniation and weakening of eyelid muscles lead to
sagging lids and under-eye bags.
Expect bruising and swelling for 7–10 days. Cold compresses, head elevation and prescribed
ointments aid healing. Sutures removed at 5–7 days. Avoid strenuous activity for 2 weeks.
