We at our institute are planning to start laboratories meant for-

  1. Melanocyte cell culture for vitiligo- Vitiligo is social disease and its very  difficult to treat large areas with  Surgical alternatives( skin grafts split or punch and ECS). In  melanocyte cell culture implantation, The melanocytes are harvested, grown and expanded using specialised media over several weeks. These melanocytes are used to cover large vitiliginous areas.
  2. Follicular cell implantation for hair restoration- Cells from the patients’ hair follicles (e.g., dermal papilla) would be isolated, multiplied in cell culture, and then used therapeutically. Dissociated cultured cells are implanted into the skin to create new follicles. So that we can grow hair in donor deficient patient.
  3. Stem cell bank
  4. Interleukin /cytokine therapy
